SEATTLE, Wash. – July 29, 2008 – In a joint statement today, YachtWorld.com, the nation’s leading marine Web-based resource for the yacht brokerage industry and the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA) the nation’s leading professional yacht broker association, announced their co-sponsorship of two Yacht Brokerage University sessions for their mutual yacht broker members. The first will be held at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel, Warwick, R.I on August 5 and the second at the Doubletree Hotel, Annapolis on August 7.

Attendees who already hold the Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) designation will receive eight recertification credits by participating in the full-day event. Both University sessions will include updates on products and services supplied by YachtWorld and YBAA as well as specific topics such as Building Better Listings and Boat Wizard Tips & Tricks. Regional topics will include updates by the Rhode Island Marine Trades Association, the Maryland Marine Trades Association, Maryland’s Broker Licensing program, Laws & Regulations seminars and presentations by the American Arbitration Assn, the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and Maryland Retailers Assn. Full details together with times can be found at www.ybaa.org.

Commenting on the joint statement Jessica Muffett, Publisher Emeritus, YachtWorld.com and Joseph Thompson, Executive Director, YBAA said “In this period of economic strain it is even more important for yacht brokers to maximize their marketing advantage and stay connected with our industry.
