Yesterday, we received complaints from a number of our customers, about persons representing themselves as YachtWorld.com employees.  The impersonators are making phone calls to existing clients asking for credit card information with a threat of cancellation of YachtWorld.com service.

The calls reported have been variations of the following message “Your listings are about to expire. In order to keep your listing on the site we need confirmation of your credit card information.”

We want to make it absolutely clear to all our customers that these calls are not being made by YachtWorld.com employees and should a)be disregarded, and b)if possible, reported to the appropriate local authorities.

If you have any doubts regarding the authenticity of a call you receive from YachtWorld.com please terminate the call and call customer service immediately at (877) 336-9527 x2.  If you feel that you have been a victim of this fraud please contact customer service immediately via either telephone (877) 336-9527 x2 or email [email protected]. YachtWorld.com keeps detailed records of all phone calls made to customers and will be able to verify if the call you received was indeed made by a YachtWorld.com employee.
