It is now officially spring and time to get ready for the season. As we all venture out and begin to un-wrap, de-frost, and clean up our boats take this opportunity to snap some new pictures for your listings. For those of you who read this blog on a regular basis, know that I am keen on the concept that better pictures make for better listings. Here are a few important items to take with you when you’re heading out to take your photos.
- A good digital camera. Notice that I didn’t say great, when you’re taking pictures of boats odds are that eventually it’s going to fall overboard. Also you really only need about 3.5 Mega Pixels for a great online picture.
- A steady surface; whether you use a tripod
or just an overturned bucket a camera set on it. Your pictures will turn out noticeably clearer.
- Extra batteries and memory. Run out of either of these two you’re dead in the water.
So there you have it, 3 simple things to remember next time you head down the dock to take the shrink wrap off and get ready for spring.
Good luck and good selling,
John M. Stewart
