For the first time in 2009, more sailboats were sold in a one-month period than the same month in 2008, according to members contributing data to SoldBoats.com. Sales of sailboats were up 5 percent, although valuation of all boats sold was still 10 percent lower than last year. Our September report, released in partnership with the sailing market’s trade group, Sail America, also includes unit sales, valuation, and average time-to-sale by length of boat.
