In the past few days, there has been an increase in the number of boats being incorrectly listed on qa.yachtworld.com. It is important that you are aware of what the YachtWorld Listing Policies are and how they affect you. Please click on the POLICIES button on the BoatWizard homepage now. This page also highlights what steps to take to report an infraction and have a boat removed.
In particular, we would like to bring the following to your attention:
- you may not enter a boat in to BoatWizard unless you have a signed Listing Agreement from the boats’ owner
- YachtWorld staff may challenge you on this subject at any time, and ask you to produce a signed Listing Agreement to support your entry. You may not enter another brokers “co-brokerage” listings.
- if you wish to remove an incorrect listing from YachtWorld, write to the offending broker asking him to remove the listing. Copy your email to [email protected] so that we can log the request. If you do not hear from the offending broker in 24 hours, forward the original email to [email protected] or call +44 (0)1329 222300 and we will step in
- any broker who chooses to break these listing policies more than 3 times runs the risk of having his membership of YachtWorld.com cancelled
Particularly in these difficult times, we take the policing of the public site very seriously, but need your help to achieve this. Please check your listings now, and make sure that all of your listings comply with the listing policies detailed in BoatWizard. If you have a moment, conduct a live search on qa.yachtworld.com and see if anyone is advertising your boats who shouldn’t be, then follow the procedure detailed in the POLICIES section to get the boat removed.
