Important Information: Update to your YachtWorld Account

We have implemented two minor changes to our policies and standards regarding our Private Label Search (PLS). These changes are being made in an effort to protect both brokers and consumers by better representing co-brokerage listings.

Here is a summary of the two changes:

  • All PLS listings will be denoted with the disclaimer “Courtesy of BoatWizard MLS” as the source of the listing.
  • An additional YachtWorld membership policy will be added to state that PLS listings cannot be identified as your own.

The updated PLS policies are as follows:

  1. The navigation elements must clearly separate the PLS boats from the broker’s own inventory in the page structure of the website (i.e, website menus, tabs, dropdown menus and search forms).
  2. PLS boat listings (either individual boats or multiple results) must be on separate pages or sections of a page and not intermingled with the brokerage’s own inventory in a single boat list.
  3. Website sections or pages with search results of PLS boats must include some introductory copy explaining to the user that they are looking at PLS listings.
  4. Website copy and labels (including clickable elements and search widgets) must clearly inform the user they are looking at co-brokerage inventory. Acceptable language would be ‘Worldwide’, ‘co-brokerage’, ‘BoatWizard MLS’ as part of a search or listings view.
