The Southampton Boat Show closed last night, with the Yacht Brokers Village having achieved the following strategic goals:

• The number of buyers who registered their needs with the Brokers Village increased by 21% compared to London. This increase came as a result of increased pre-show promotion from BMF and the Associations ABYA and BRBA, plus a big change in the way we distribute leads to the participating brokers. Over 900 email leads were sent from the stand last week
• 28 brokers from the UK, France and Spain took advantage of the Brokers Village, 7 of whom were trying it for the first time
• The new Boat Sales Qualification was successfully launched to the industry and press on Monday 13th September. For more information about this qualification, please contact the UK associations ABYA or the BRBA
• The public gained yet another significant increase in their knowledge of the questions they should ask when buying a boat. This was supported by large branded panels and graphics around the stand, together with articles in the special issue of the YachtWorld Magazine
