Accuracy of data on soldboats.com

In the top left corner of this screen, the button search soldboats.com allows you to view and download data on 330,000 sold boats. This data is supplied by you and can be seen by 2,500 other YachtWorld members who use BoatWizard every day. If you wish to contribute towards its value as a research tool, it is extremely important that you supply it with accurate data about the boats YOU sell. We therefore ask you to please observe the following rules:

  • in the edit boats for sale section of BoatWizard, only mark a boat as SOLD if you sold it. If you did not sell the boat you were listing, simply mark it as INACTIVE or DELETED instead
  • when entering the price you sold the boat for, be accurate. Do not enter a price if you do not know what she sold for. Do not enter the asking price in the SOLD PRICE section, as this distorts the accuracy of the database
  • use the COMMENTS field to explain any big variation in the selling price from the market value. Your comments will not be seen by the public
  • BoatWizard also asks you if the boat was sold to a buyer who started his search on YachtWorld.com. Your answer helps us to monitor market activity and contributes towards our search engine optimisation (SEO) program, so please be accurate. Last month, you declared €23.6 million of boat sales as a direct result of YachtWorld enquiries.

The accuracy of the data in soldboats.com is extremely important and we are very keen that you preserve it. Following these simple guidelines will help. We have started monitoring brokers who consistently supply inaccurate data and will soon be removing the boats concerned.
