Here are four simple things that you can do right now that will significantly raise the profile of your listings by using the new search functions we have built. Log in to BoatWizard and click on Your Boat Listings.

Tip 1 – Add more text in to the DESCRIPTION

The first two lines of your “Display Ad Description” text now appears in the search results, so use strong and engaging text to explain the boat you are selling. This field is now searchable too, so enter the key points about the boat such as keel type, engine manufacturer or anything else that makes her special.

Tip 2 – Select up to three TYPES
Boat buyers will now be “guided” to their next boat by placing much more emphasis on the TYPE they are looking for. Hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard and use your mouse to select up to three different TYPES for each of your boats, therefore trebling the number of times your boats will be available to interested boat buyers.

Tip 3 – Put your best photos first
If you currently use ENHANCED LISTINGS, the first 5 photos you have uploaded will now rotate in large format. Make sure you enter your best photos first, as they will be featured in the search results. Give them a name (eg GALLEY) to double the number of times they are clicked on.

Tip 4 – Enter MANUFACTURER and MODEL correctly
Correctly label your “Manufacturer” and “Model” fields to ensure that visitors will easily find your boat in our new guided navigation. For example: do not duplicate the “Manufacturer” in the “Model” field, type the “Model” in the “Manufacturer” field, or include other descriptive text such as stock numbers and length.
